The 2025 UCL LoL Fall Championship has reached its dramatic final weekend. With University of Health Sciences and Pharmacy already securing their spot in Sunday’s Grand Final, the remaining three programs must battle through the unforgiving Lower Bracket Gauntlet this Saturday. Two high-stakes Best-of-Three series will determine which program earns the final, contested berth in the title match.

The Path to Glory: Two Wins or Done

Saturday, December 6th, is defined by the resilience required to survive multiple elimination sets. The team that wins the day will earn their chance at championship glory; the losers will see their season end abruptly.

Lower Round 3 (10:00 AM CT): This is a critical elimination match between Purdue University Northwest and Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi. The stakes are immediate—win and advance to the final elimination match; lose and go home.

Lower Round 4 (3:00 PM CT): Pratt Community College, having just dropped from the Upper Bracket Final, awaits the winner of the morning match. This final elimination test requires Pratt to overcome the Challenger’s momentum and requires the Challenger to overcome the fatigue of an earlier series.

The intensity of elimination play amplifies the importance of League of Legends' strategic elements:

  • Draft and Veto Supremacy The Draft Phase will be critical. The team that successfully forces a pocket pick or strategically denies a power champion (like a priority ADC or Mid Laner) will gain a massive psychological and statistical advantage.
  • Jungle Pathing The Junglers must display flawless pathing. Successfully securing Dragon Souls and controlling the early Baron setups will be the primary objective drivers.
  • Vision Control The hallmark of elite collegiate play is Vision Control. Teams must effectively use wards to minimize enemy ambush opportunities and safely execute pushes. Poor vision control is the quickest way to feed a lead and lose a series.
