Unified 3/22/2021
Thank you for your interest in attending an upcoming Unified esports event! Looking for more information about what to expect or bring? Read below for some commonly asked questions, or reach out to us directly on Discord or through email (contact@uea.gg) if you have any additional asks! What is the difference between the different levels of admission? Champion Pass: This pass grants players access to every tournament and activity on-site. Pre-register to save $5, or buy your passes at the door. Adventurer Pass: This pass grants players access to every game or activity on-site excluding cash prize tournaments. Adventurer Pass holders can still earn prize tickets by completing various quests and challenges throughout the weekend. Spectator Pass: You are invited into the venue to watch or cheer on other players, but may not enter tournaments or participate in activities like the quest system. VIP Pass: This all-access pass grants players entry into any tournament, quest, or activity over the weekend. This pass directly benefits the local esports event, powering extra prize money or activities for all players. VIP level members will also receive extra benefits and merchandise on-site, including extra prize tickets to spend at the Prize Shop. How do we purchase admission tickets? On the event you are wanting to register for, click “Venue Tickets” and complete the registration process. After creating a Unified account, you will be prompted to pay for your admission pass. You should receive an email confirmation receipt, and this may be presented to the registration counter for a speedy check-in. How do we register or check in at the event? You may register at door and we accept card or cash payments. If you’ve pre-purchased a ticket, you can check in quickly by presenting your “Email Confirmation Receipt” that shows proof of purchase. Be prepared to register or check in by sharing your first name, last name, and email address. What am I supposed to bring, and what equipment does your company provide? Our team will supply the computers/consoles, and main peripherals to play: controllers, mice, keyboards. Players should bring their own headsets/headphones, and are welcome/encouraged to bring their own peripherals if they would prefer to use their own mice and keyboard/controller. Am I allowed to use a controller for PC games like Rocket League or Halo, and do I have to bring my own controller? You are allowed to use controllers on PC game titles. We will have several spare controllers available on-site, but you are always invited to bring your own. How do I sign up to compete in a tournament? You may register in advance online to save your spot in bracket as soon as possible. Each event will have its own schedule available for viewing on the main event page. You may also sign-up over the weekend by speaking to Unified staff members in the designated tournament areas. Where can I see a list of all the tournaments being offered at an event? Visit the event’s home page, and click on “Full Schedule” or head to our competitions page and search directly by keywords or specific games! (ie, “Wichita” or “Comicon”) What rules are being used for your tournaments? We try to follow the most standard competitive rule sets for each video game. Please refer to the “Rules” tab on the game you are interested in, and follow the link to view the complete ruleset. You may reach out to Unified through the website or Discord for any quick questions regarding format, rules, etc. Do you have to sign up as a team for multiplayer titles, or can I sign up as a free agent? For team-based games, players must sign up as a team. If you are interested in competing but don’t have a full team, reach out to Unified and we will add you to our Free Agent list to try and match you with other eligible players. For this, we recommend joining the Unified Discord! How can I stay up to date with Unified online and on-site events?
