Mario Kart 8 (Tournament #1) - Rules

General Settings

1. Two players will take part in a 4 race circuit to determine who will advance to the next stage in the bracket.

2. The player with the most points at the end of the circuit will advance in the bracket.

3. Double-Elimination Bracket

4. Maps:

   1. To determine who picks or bans first, the Tournament Operator will flip a coin.

      1. Whoever calls it right, will have the option to pick the map on either the first and third race, or the second and fourth race.

      2. If the person that won the toss elects to pick the first and third map, the other player will have map selection for the second and fourth map.

      3. If the person that won the toss elects to pick the second and fourth map, the other player will have map selection for the first and third map.

      4. Whichever player is not picking the map for that round, will have the option to ban up to one map.

      5. Players may not revisit a map and may not select any of the banned maps during the same circuit.

5. Lobby Creation

   1. Multiplayer

   2. Vs Race

   3. Settings:

      1. 150 CC

      2. Hard CPU’s

      3. Everything else is Default settings
